  • I wanted to comment on the Cacus last night and how disorganized it was. I’m not going to give you my name or precinct number; however, Royce West as leading out with what I am about to write about.
Never in my life could I have imagined this would be asked of us, but we were segregated into two lines to whom we had voted for. All those voting for Barack Obama was to line up on the left side of the school auditorium and the ones that voted for Hillary Clinton were asked to line up on the other side – the right side of the school auditorium.
This, I believe, violated all of our voting rights. Needless to say the line on the left hand side was much longer than the line on the right hand side. Not only this, but everyone in the left hand line hurriedly finished signing up on the sheet of paper, than the people in the right hand line. We wondered why these people got finished so fast and this is what we were told. Those in that line were not closely verified that they had voted or the were not closely checked to see if the name and address was on their voting registration. Where as the people on the right hand side were getting frustrated and some of those people gave up and left the Cacus without signing the paper on who they were voting for.
Was this the whole intent? For those to give up and not sign up for their candidate? We all thought so. Seems like if it was so confusing and difficult that some people would not vote, that second time, for the Cacus.
We did not have any pushing or fighting or yelling at us; however, we had some unfriendly comments and looks given to the ones that did not vote for Obama.
My question is, what could have been done differently so nobody was the wiser of whom they were voting for? I believe who we voted for is anyone’s business. So is there anything that can be done, so we do not have to have this uneasy feeling again?
    Thank you,
    USA Citizen
