I had the chance to spend some time last weekend with gymnasts Carly Patterson and Nastia Liukin. Carly, of course, won the all-around gold at the Athens Olympics. Nastia is a world champion who hopes to compete in Beijing this summer. I’ve had the privilege of knowing both young women for almost four years now. Seems hard to believe. I hadn’t seen either of them in quite some time, so we had a lot of catching up to do. We broadcast some of our conversation in a recent story about the WOGA Classic gymnastics meet in Frisco. But there was plenty of good stuff that we did not have time to air. That’s why nbc5i.com is so great.

Good story Brian. They grow up so fast. I did not recognize either of them. It did remind me that I want to enroll my boys in gymnastics. They are only 5 but I am sure its never to early!
